Thinking Day

We will spend
two meetings in February celebrating Thinking Day.
February 22nd, Thinking Day, is the day each year that we celebrate the diversity of scouts all
across the world - where we celebrate the millions of sisters we share across
all continents.
This year, we have changed the way we will learn about
Thinking Day.
Instead of each girl presenting a country, each PATROL will present a country.
Following is a list of the countries we have chosen:
Dogwood Patrol will teach us about Australia
Morning Glory Patrol will teach us about Ireland
Red Roses will teach us about Egypt
Each Patrol is expected to be able to teach us the following:
| Flag | |
| Location on a globe and on a map | |
| WAGGGS | Motto - in native language and translated Law - in native language and translated Promise - in native language and translated Levels Uniforms - photos, draw, make |
| Culture | Songs Music Games Native Dress - examples Buildings - materials and style - example |
| Language | Count to 10 Hello Good-bye Thank You You're Welcome |
| Food | Native Recipe List of common foods List of foods unavailable |
| Current Events | |
| Female Leaders | Past and present |
| A Day in the Life | Story about a "regular day" |
| Travel Advertisement | |
| Packing List | |
| Passport "Stamp" |
This year, we will go a little more in depth - learning more about fewer countries as we work on Thinking Day countries in our patrols. Once again, we will conclude our Thinking Day Celebration with what will be our 5th Annual International Food Festival.
