As part of our World Thinking Day Celebration, we explored the foods and cultures of our Brownie sisters around the world. One of the desserts we sampled were homemade crepes - from France

6 Eggs
1/4 cup Oil
1/4 cup Butter
1 1/2 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Shortening
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 1/2 tsp. Flavoring (anise or vanilla)

Blend ingredients together, adding one at a time. Drop approximately a heaping 1/2 tsp. of batter onto griddle. Allow to cook for 45 sec. to 1 1/2 min. or until lightly browned. Allow to cool on wire rack or towel. Dust with powdered sugar.
Makes 3-4 dozen

For Valentine's Day, we used chocolate playdough to make roses for our moms.
It was really neat!

6 oz. Chocolate - chocolate chips work
1/8 cup Light Corn Syrup

Melt chocolate at 50% power in microwave, in 30 sec. increments, until smooth. Then stir in corn syrup. Pour onto wax paper, and cool at room temperature overnight. Knead and shape. Keeps for up to 2 weeks in refrigerator.
